We’ve made two blog posts so far and only discussed commenting via our Paper Blogs. I’m hesitant to just letting them comment before providing suitable models on their actual blog posts.
Here’s my idea:
I invite the faculty to comment on two student blog posts. I give them clear guidelines about model commenting: 1) acknowledge something written, 2) relate it to yourself or your experience, 3) ask a question that could continue the conversation. Easy. Right?
Knowing that most of our faculty do not blog, it should be an interesting exercise. And I think my students will get a kick out of hearing from teachers they know.
We have a tech training tomorrow afternoon and I’m hoping to squeeze in this activity before everyone disperses. Keep your fingers crossed!
